Emanuel, or, as most know him, Manny, began his journey with CASA as the Program Coordinator for CASA of Orange County. He was subsequently promoted to Regional Coordinator for CASA of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster Counties – a program of the Dispute Resolution Center – where he dedicated six years.
Trained by the National CASA/GAL Association for Children, Emanuel became the lead trainer of the pre-service curriculum in Orange, Sullivan & Ulster Counties, shaping the development of volunteers and staff within the CASA program.
Leveraging his adept technical skills in computer and web-based software, Emanuel further contributed as the Network Consultant for CASA Manager and OPTIMA, pivotal case management databases and volunteer software within the CASA of New York State network.
In his capacity as CASA Regional Coordinator, Emanuel supervised up to 30 volunteers, overseeing their commitment to serving children across all three counties. He attended court hearings, facilitated monthly case guidance sessions with volunteers, and played a pivotal role in crafting and guiding volunteers through the creation of detailed written court reports submitted to Family Court judges. Additionally, he actively collaborated with local departments of social services and community agencies. He extended these collaborative efforts into his role as lead CASA representative on both the Ulster County Family Treatment Court Team, and the Ulster County DSS Advisory Council.
Emanuel earned a B.A. in Sociology from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of his professional life, Emanuel indulges his love for art and creativity by observing the world around him and experimenting with different art forms. He finds joy and rejuvenation in expressing his creative energy.
